General Information
A: You only need very basic information to get started.We’ll ask about your boat type, sailing style, and goals for your new sail. Details like your current sail inventory, preferred sail handling systems, and cruising or racing plans help us tailor the best recommendations for you.
Delivery time depends on our production schedule and the complexity of your sail. Once your quote is approved and a deposit is placed, your sail enters the queue. Build time can range from a few days to several weeks. We recommend planning ahead with your local loft to ensure timely delivery.
Paradox Sails are crafted in our Sydney Sail loft
For racing sails: class, rig configuration, and sail type (mainsail, headsail, spinnaker). For cruising sails: boat make/model, rig measurements, sailing area, and intended use. The more detail you provide, the more accurate the quote.
Yes. We freight sails anywhere in Australia. Shipping costs depend on size and destination. For repairs, you send your sail to our Sydney loft, we assess and repair it, then freight it back to you.
We use premium sailcloth selected for each application. Racing mainsails: Skiff cloth, ODL06, or Tyra Ply. Headsails: Skiff cloth or ODL06. Spinnakers: AIRX 650 or Dynakote 75. Material recommendations are based on your class, rig, and sailing conditions.
Yes. We are based in Sydney and welcome loft visits by appointment. Contact us to arrange a time to discuss your requirements, see samples, and talk through the build process.
We specialize in 16 Foot Skiff, 13 Foot Skiff, 18 Foot Skiff, Cherub, and MG14. We also build custom cruising sails for any boat. If you sail a different class, get in touch and we can discuss whether we can meet your requirements.
