Sailmaking has always been my passion. My career began more than 18 years ago as a boat builder, working hands-on in composite fabrication and design. I was deeply involved in the construction of high-performance boats, components, and fittings, many of which are still sailing today. That foundation in composites, structure, and load paths shaped how I think about performance long before I ever cut my first sail.

Sailmaking soon became the natural next step. What started as a curiosity quickly turned into a calling. I spent eight years immersed in the craft, progressing to Lead Designer and Floor Manager, responsible for both design and production. During that time, I oversaw the build of some of the world's fastest sails, learning not just how sails are made, but why the best ones work. Every design decision was grounded in real-world use, feedback from elite sailors, and an obsession with marginal gains.

In 2017, my journey took me to Europe, where I worked within the superyacht industry, expanding my understanding of scale, materials, and precision under extreme demands. That experience ultimately led me to INEOS Team UK for the 36th America's Cup. There, I contributed to the development of an entirely new class concept, applying my background in sailmaking, composites, and design at the very highest level of the sport.

By 2024, after years in aerospace, elite sailing programs, and advanced manufacturing, I found myself drawn back to where it all began. Not out of nostalgia, but with clarity. Sailmaking is where my experience, intuition, and craftsmanship intersect most naturally.

It is a synthesis of everything I have learned: traditional sailmaking principles refined by modern composite thinking, elite-level design processes distilled into practical performance, and a relentless focus on making sails that are fast, durable, and honest.
